Methodology and sources

How we distinguish source information, verified conditions and proposed next steps in asset management, energy and IoT.

Purpose before data

For each requirement, we identify the site or location, the question to be answered and the expected result. An existing list, a measurement and a historical document do not provide the same level of evidence.

Source, time, unit and quality

A measurement retains its source, time and unit; a document retains its relationship to the site and period. Missing or unverified data should remain identifiable. An import is not a physical inspection, and the last received value is not automatically the current status.

Verification of a specific scope

A pilot specifies what needs to be demonstrated: correct device assignment, usable data, communication availability or connected workflows. The outcome is assessed against the agreed goal. Consumption comparisons also take account of operating conditions and data quality.
